Refectory Restaurant Provides Dinner Event to Support Teens Recovering from Addiction

COLUMBUS, OH – Local foodies and philanthropists gathered and enjoyed a meal to support teen addiction recovery on Wednesday evening thanks to the generosity of The Refectory Restaurant and Bistro. The city’s top restaurant hosted an exclusive fundraising dinner in support of Maryhaven, a treatment center that empowers teens in Central Ohio to heal from addiction and co-occurring disorders with their compassionate, encouraging, and comprehensive care.

The Fine Dining to Support Maryhaven event was held on Wednesday, July 11, at 6:30 p.m. at The Refectory on Bethel Road in Columbus. The event included a welcome reception, a three-course meal and a silent auction. Between dinner ticket sales and silent auction items, the event raised a total of $5,000 for Maryhaven. “We at The Refectory are thrilled to support Maryhaven’s efforts to support Central Ohio’s most vulnerable teens. We are honored to do our part in the community through this dining experience tonight,” said Refectory owner and CEO Kamal Boulos. Maryhaven’s VP of Development and Marketing, Nanon Morrison, emphasized the true impact of the support: “The compassion and generosity of The Refectory to donate their time and resources to support the teens at Maryhaven has been incredible. I also want to thank the students in Next Level Trainings for organizing this event. Without you all, this would not be possible.”

The event was held as part of a 32-day-long fundraising campaign by Next Level Trainings current leadership class. Maryhaven’s mission is to help individuals and families lead healthy lives free from addiction and mental illness by providing education, treatment and support. Drug addiction is a local, national, and global epidemic. The Next Level Trainings leadership class is reaching out to the community for monetary and tangible goods donations.
