PRESS RELEASE: Next Level Trainings Exceeds Goal and Raises Over $50,000 for Urban Creators
Philadelphia, PA. - The 10th leadership class of Next Level Trainings has surpassed their goal of raising $50,000 in support of Urban Creators’ Life Do Grow farm in North Philadelphia. This goal was reached with less than a month’s worth of fundraising. Exceeding $50,922 raised, the group of 23 leaders continues to create opportunities to impact the Urban Creators’ work by maximizing their fundraising total. There will be a check presentation representing the total contribution to date on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 7:00 PM at Urban Creators, located at 2315 N 11th St, Philadelphia, PA 19133. State Representative Malcolm Kenyatta (D-181) will be in attendance at this event.
“Next Level Trainings is impressed and inspired by the heart and mission of Urban Creators. We are overjoyed by the efforts of our 10th Leadership Team to raise over $50,000 for this incredible organization that is making such a tangible and beautiful difference in the Philadelphia community,” said Alexa Henderson, owner of Next Level Trainings in Philadelphia.
In addition to fundraising, the leadership group supported Urban Creators on Sunday, August 18th with a Day of Service which included physical labor and general farming. The Day of Service also included strategy sessions by industry experts with employees and community members which provided financial/budget management; branding and marketing information; graphic design; and business modeling. By empowering the residents with these skills, the community can continue to expand economic development in the neighborhood.
