COLUMBUS - An evening in the wild, wild west ended a 28-day fundraising campaign where students from the Next Level Trainings class raised more than $145,000 to support Nellie’s Champions for Kids (NC4K), an organization dedicated to supporting children with pediatric cancer and their families. Approximately 150 guests celebrated with a country-themed carnival at the Rev Cafe last night in Reynoldsburg.
COLUMBUS (WCMH) — There’s a non-profit organization right here in our area that helps thousands and thousands of children with pediatric cancer and their families all over the state of Ohio. It’s called Nellie’s Champions for Kids, also known as NC4K. The organization was founded by Nellie Corriveau, whose mission was to make life easier for pediatric cancer families.
RELEASE: Volunteers from the current leadership class of Next Level Trainings will build and install cabinets, shelves, sinks, and more at the NC4K facility. As part of a large-scale community service project, the leadership class is dedicated to making a massive impact on the local nonprofit. With only 3 weeks for the campaign, in addition to this day of action and labor, students are raising $120,000 for the charity to support kids with cancer and their families.
