ADVISORY: Columbus Restaurateurs take Local to the Next Level
Foodies unite around a cause to support local food education programming
COLUMBUS, OH – Columbus Restaurateurs are coming together in unprecedented ways to support the local community at the next level. Local businesses are donating high volumes of goods and services to benefit the work of Local Matters, a Columbus-based nonprofit. Local Matters is building healthy communities through food education, access, and advocacy. Their work supports a systemic change to end diet-related diseases and increase access to and knowledge about nutritious food in Central Ohio.
WHAT:
The event is a one-of-a-kind community gathering in which restaurants from across the city are coming together to donate and celebrate food and community. The Gala will feature music, a silent auction, and small bites from local restaurants. Tickets at the Gold and Platinum levels include a swag bag of local goods worth $150.

WHY:
The events are being held as a part of a 24-day-long fundraising campaign by Next Level Trainings’ current leadership class. Communities across the country suffer from diabetes and diet-related diseases. Local Matters’ mission is to create healthy communities through food education, access, and advocacy. Working with schools and community partners at more than 100 sites, Local Matters offers hands-on programming that impacts over 14,000 children, adults and families each year.
