Next Level Trainings leadership group raises $176,107 in 35 days for the homeless in Central Ohio
COLUMBUS, OH – The 18th leadership class of Next Level Trainings, comprised of 50 people, put together a spontaneous but intentional fundraising campaign to support LSS Faith Mission. The non-profit provides shelter, employment readiness, health care, case management, and veterans services to people experiencing or in danger of experiencing homelessness. Additionally, LSS Faith Mission provides three meals a day every day of the year to anyone that is hungry. As part of its transformational curriculum, the class of leaders committed to raise $162,000. The team raised $176,107.
“LSS Faith Mission’s stand for creating a better world by serving those in need is apparent in their staff and volunteers ways of being. It has been one of the greatest honors in my life to raise money, goods, and awareness about the work they do to support the most vulnerable in our communities,” said Gwen D’Amico, Next Level Trainings Community Service Project Captain

Along with supporting LSS Faith Mission in fundraising, VIP 18 - Columbus created the following for the organization:
Painted and renovated the main dining area of LSS Faith Mission on November 10th. All supplies were donated.
Held a tailgate fundraiser on November 24th at Dance Tonight Columbus with over 160 attendees and raised $8,000 in ticket sales and donations.
The LeVeque Tower was lit up on November 28th and 29th for LSS Faith Mission. This was a great honor as the tower only changes its lights six to eight times a year.
Sourced over 6,000 tangible goods including sheets, towels, toiletries, and other hygiene items.
Delivered a brand new Hobart Edge 12 Meat Slicer (valued at $2,000) with the combined efforts of Brad and Rodney Wasserstrom, The Hobart Company, Archie And Duncan Griffin, and Eric Clark on November 30th along with the other tangible goods.
“It was a surprise when Next Level Trainings contacted us in late October and told us their plans. When the team over-delivered on their promise and in such a short period of time, a simple ‘thank you’, seemed inadequate. We are truly in awe of these leaders and Next Level Trainings,” said Jennifer Hamilton, Director of Communications Lutheran Social Services.
Next Level Trainings provides experiential leadership programs that support people in unlocking their passion, power, and purpose. The emotional intelligence trainings, developed using positive psychology and behavioral science, are proven to make substantial and lasting impacts on graduates’ personal and professional lives while also improving local communities.
